How quickly can you attend in St Helens?
Appointment availability varies from day to day, but I will always do my best to offer an appointment as soon as reasonably possible. Unfortunately I’m unable to offer availability in an emergency and I cannot guarantee same day availability.
Can my other pets be present?
Yes. Other pets can usually remain nearby if this feels appropriate for your family.
Some families also choose to allow another pet to see or smell their companion afterwards.
Can children be present?
Yes. This is entirely a family decision.
Some families feel it is important for children to be able to say goodbye, while others prefer them not to be present during the appointment.
Can euthanasia take place outside?
Yes, if appropriate. Some pets are most comfortable in the garden or another favourite outdoor area, and the appointment can often take place there.
Please note that if your garden is not cat-proofed I am not comfortable giving cats the sedation in their garden as even very weak cats can sometimes surprise us and if a cat ran off after receiving the sedative they would be very vulnerable in the wild so all cats must receive a sedation either indoors or in a cat-proofed garden.
What happens afterwards?
You can either arrange your own aftercare or I can organise cremation and collection on your behalf.
